Hi, I’m Preity
I’m a Tokyo-based photographer, storyteller, and memory-keeper, and this vibrant city has been my home for over a decade. I’m also a wife and a proud mom to a toddler, which has given me an even deeper appreciation for how fleeting and precious life’s moments are.
My love for photography began when I was 15, with a Kodak film camera in hand. From experimenting with film to exploring photography in different settings, I’ve always been drawn to capturing life as it unfolds. Moving to Japan reignited my passion, from the blossoms of spring to the glow of summer nights, autumn’s colors, and the modern buzz of Tokyo streets, this country inspires me endlessly.
My Philosophy
I believe photography is about more than creating “pretty pictures.” It’s about inclusion, intention, and authenticity. For me, every session is a chance to celebrate people exactly as they are, their connections, their laughter, their quiet moments, and even the beautiful chaos that comes with real life.
Allowing yourself to step in front of a camera can feel vulnerable, and that’s why my goal is always to create a space where you feel comfortable, confident, and celebrated.
